Johan Fourie is a nature conservationist and currently the managing director of The Nature College Wild Life Training. He worked as a pilot in the South African Air Force, but the lure of the bush became too strong. In 1982 he joined National Parks as a field guide in the Kruger National Park. For a period of five years he patrolled the Lebombo mountains in the east of the park on foot with his clients. After his term with the walking trails, he was transferred to wildlife management. Fifteen years later he decided to establish his own business The Nature College, which provides specialist wildlife training to SANParks and other conservation agencies.
